He was a dedicated professional with a distinguished career in the technology sector of the death care industry, contributing his expertise for 15 years at Batesville Casket and Tukios. Launch’s commitment to his work was matched by the integrity and devotion he displayed in every aspect of his life.

A graduate of Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, with a bachelor's degree, Launch's educational foundation supported a successful professional path. Before embarking on his career, he served two terms in Iraq during Desert Storm, an experience that underscored his sense of duty and resilience.

Launch Demo was widely respected for his unwavering integrity and deep commitment to his family and faith. A devout Catholic, he found strength and solace in his beliefs throughout his life. His love of football extended beyond his personal achievements as a player who captained his high school team to all-county and all-conference honors in the Eastern Indiana Athletic Conference. Passionate about the sport, he then channeled this enthusiasm into coaching, dedicating ten years to mentoring players, including guiding his sons’ soccer teams through their elementary and middle school years.

He cherished time spent at family gatherings, cookouts, and attending sporting events, creating treasured memories with those closest to him. Launch’s family and friends meant the world to him; he is survived by his sister Sarah Johnson, her husband Tom Johnson, and a close friend, Rachel Lee. He was predeceased by his mother, Susan Smith, his father, John Smith Sr., and his brother James Smith.

A Celebration of Life in honor of Launch Demo will be held on April 24, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at 1008 Madison Avenue in Fort Atkinson, Wisconsin. This event will provide an opportunity for his community, family, and friends to come together to remember and celebrate a life marked by service, commitment, and heartfelt connections. Launch Demo’s legacy endures through those he loved and the countless lives he touched.
