**Obituary for Tanya Veronica Cruz-Garlick** **January 2, 1976 – September 11, 2025** It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Tanya Veronica Cruz-Garlick of Albuquerque, New Mexico, who left this world on September 11, 2025. Born on January 2, 1976, in Albuquerque, Tanya was a beloved mother, sister, and daughter whose life touched many. Tanya is survived by her two sons, Joshua Ambriz and Jonathan Garlick, and her cherished daughter, Juliette Garlick. She shared a deep bond with her daughter Juliette, whose fiancé, Isaiah Chavez, is also embraced as part of the family. Tanya was a proud grandmother to Angela Chavez, who brought her immense joy and laughter. She will also be remembered by her children's father, Johnny Garlick. Tanya’s legacy is carried on by her loving parents, Roy and Mary Ann Cruz, and her sister, Marlene Duarte, along with her husband, Pedro. Her brothers, Rosendo R.A. Cruz, and Zachary P. Cruz, predeceased her, leaving a heartache within the family that will forever remain. She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, all of whom will hold her memory dear. Throughout her life, Tanya was known for her warm spirit, kindness, and love for her family. She had an infectious laugh that could brighten the darkest of days and a heart filled with compassion for others. Tanya cherished the time spent with her family and friends, creating countless memories that will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. As we remember Tanya, let us celebrate her life, the joy she brought, and the love she gave so freely.  A private memorial service will be held to honor Tanya’s life and her enduring spirit.
