Shirley was born on October 10, 1937 in Olympia, Washington and was the only child of Edward Berkseth and Juanita Jackson. She died peacefully on September 9, 2024 at the age of 86. She was married to her sweetheart, Lloyd H. Galbraith for over 70 years and raised two children, L. Jeffrey Galbraith (Jeff) and Angela D. Bonanno (Angie) and was a loving mother and a doting grandmother. She was also an amazing and loyal friend to many people and met often for a long lunch, shopping for antiques, and nurseries.
Shirley started working for Frederick & Nelson Department Store and then onto Crissey Florists, Albert Ltd. Clothiers, and Littler's Department Store - all in downtown Seattle utilizing her extraordinary talent in visual displays and floral arranging.
Shirley was a creative person and made everything in her home and life beautiful, generously giving her time and talent to so many over the years. She will be especially remembered (and missed) for her quick and infectious laugh!
She is survived by her children Jeff and Angie, and grandchildren Justin Bonanno, Alexandra Galbraith, Nicholas Bonanno, Jordan Galbraith, and great-grandchildren Liam, Rien, and Killian Galbraith.
Shirley was preceded in death by her great-grandson Sage Church (Bonanno) and husband Lloyd Galbraith.
