In Loving Memory of Sherise Lyndell Beacham June 7, 1958 – April 28, 2025 She lived with love. She left with grace. And she remains with us—always.
There are some lives that burn so brightly, they never truly go dark. Sherise Lyndell Beacham was one of those lights. Born June 7, 1958, in Youngstown, Ohio, and called home in Cocoa, Florida, she was more than a daughter, more than a mother or a wife—she was the heartbeat of her family, the strength behind every struggle, and the warmth behind every joy.
Sherise was the proud and devoted mother of five sons and 1 daughter: Leonard McClendon, Joseph Stanley, Anthony Hamlett, Jermaine Hamlett, and Clarence Hamlett. Her love for them was not just spoken—it was shown in sacrifice, in late nights and early mornings, in prayers whispered when no one was listening. She gave her life to make theirs better, piece by piece, day by day. And she never once asked to be applauded for it—because for her, love was the reward.
She raised her boys not with riches, but with wisdom. Not with ease, but with endurance. She taught them what it meant to be strong—not by telling them, but by showing them. She carried pain in silence so her children could laugh. She hid her storms behind smiles so they could have sunshine. That kind of love is not ordinary. That kind of love is sacred.
She was the beloved daughter of Clara Wilson, the cherished sister of Tony Jones and Raymond Edwards, and the devoted wife of James Beacham—a man who stood with her in her later years, holding the hand of a woman who had carried the weight of many.
Sherise was also the proud grandmother of twelve grandchildren, each of whom she loved deeply and unconditionally. Her legacy lives on in their eyes, in their laughter, and in the stories they’ll one day tell of the woman who made everything feel possible.
And through it all—through every hard season, every broken moment—she still found a song. Her voice in the choir wasn’t just beautiful—it was a lifeline. When she sang, it was as if the heavens parted to listen. She praised God not because life was easy, but because her faith was real. And in that faith, she found her strength.
She lived a life that mattered. Not in headlines, but in hugs. Not in riches, but in the rich lives she helped shape. Her absence leaves a silence that rings louder than words, but her love—that lives on. In every memory. Every lesson. Every heartbeat of her children and every soul she poured into.
Thank you, Mama.
You gave us more than life—you gave us the will to live it.
You were the flame that burned quietly behind us, giving us warmth while turning yourself to ash.
Everything we are, everything we hope to be, is because you never gave up on us—even when life tried to break you.
You were our strength. You still are.
Rest now. We’ll take it from here.
