Sharyn "Sher" Elaine Gettman, 77, of Greeley, passed away on November 19, 2024 at her home.  She was born April 12, 1947, the only child of Raymond and Alvina (Uhrich) Gettman in Greeley, CO.

She attended schools in Greeley and graduated from Greeley High School, now Greeley Central, in 1965. She attended Colorado State College, now UNC, for one year and then went to work for seven years at a ski lodge and drive-in and pizza restaurant in Winter Park.  After that, she worked in Denver and eventually returned to Greeley where she worked for King Soopers for seven years.  She then managed an apartment complex for 16 years.

Sher had many friends and family that she stayed in touch with throughout her life.  She played softball for many years and attempted to play golf.  She was an avid reader.  Listening to music was a constant passion in her life, and loved sharing music with so many of her friends.  In 1997, she retired and cared for her parents.  Her mother passed away in December 1997 and her father in January 2003. Sher is survived by her partner, Pam Varner of 37 years.
