Sharon P. (Frank) Smith of Sprakers, NY passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026 surrounded by her family.

She was born March 6, 1947 in Johnstown, NY to Beverley (Sands) and Edward Conroy. She graduated from Johnstown Central School in 1965, active in the swim and ski clubs.

Sharon enjoyed gardening, crafting, decorating, the warmth of the sun, and mowing her beautiful lawn. She loved her animals and spoiled them rotten. She was an excellent baker, and chef in the kitchen. Rearranging every room in her home on a regular basis provided her joy.

Her kindness and willingness to help others was known by everyone. She was an amazing wife, mother, and grandmother.

Loving Sharon forever are her husband of 27 years Charles Smith, her daughter Kimberly (Wade) Hohenforst, stepdaughters Kristy (Thomas) Layton, Tracy Smith (Kong), daughter-in-law Connie Frank, and her grandchildren Christopher, Cody, and Carly Frank, Kalynn and Collin Layton, Kai and Hailie Kong, her brother Steven (Sharon) Conroy, and nephew Eric (Kelli) Conroy. She was predeceased by her parents and her son Christopher Frank.

A celebration of Sharon’s life will be held privately. Her family thanks you for remembering her and them during this time.
