Mohawk - Mrs. Sharon Hayes, age 79, of the Town of Mohawk, passed away on October 3, 2025 at her residence.   She was born July 14, 1946 in Schenectady, the daughter of the late John and Florence Lukas.    Sharon was a graduate of Mohonasen High School. She worked most of her life for the General Electric Company in Schenectady until her retirement in 2000.     She loved going to the casino's and enjoyed painting.   Sharon is survived by her husband, Gary W. Hayes Sr. who she married on December 20, 1974. She is also survived by two sons, John Hayes and his wife Kathy and Gary W. Hayes Jr. and his wife Jing; two daughters, Tina Ferrara and her husband Chris and Jacqueline Staley and her husband Steve; eight grandchildren and two great granddaughters also survive.   It was the request of Sharon that there be no funeral service.   Memorial contributions may be made in lieu of flowers to the Shriners.   Online condolences may be made at www.brbsfuneral.com Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville, NY.
