Shannon Flynn Mathewson

Shannon Flynn Mathewson left this life to be with her Lord, Jesus, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. She was 55 years old.  

Shannon was born in Phoenix, Arizona on December 7, 1968 to Pamela Sue Roberts and Phillip Burke. As a lifelong resident of Arizona, Shannon graduated from Gerard Catholic High School class of 1986. 

Her memory will always be cherished by her generous heart and willingness to share the little she had with friends and acquaintances. Those who knew Shannon will miss her laugh and gentle spirit.  

Shannon was preceded in death by her mother Pamela Sue Roberts, grandmother Penny Lee Mathewson and her uncle Carl James Diggs. She is survived by her half brother Evan Dale Zumbrunnen, aunt Cynthia Mathewson-Fox, uncle-in-law Troy Allen Fox and cousin Madison Leigh Fox. 

Shannon was an avid cat lover. The family requests a memorial contribution be made to your local “no-kill” animal shelter in her name.

Shannon was loved and will be missed.  We will carry her in our hearts and memories never to be forgotten.  We love you Shannon.
