Selvy Cristine Parada was born into a world filled with both beauty and hardship. Despite the challenges she faced, her spirit remained unbroken. This is the story of her journey from childhood to her 18th year—a story of resilience, hope, and self-discovery. Lendy soon remarried, hoping to bring stability back to the household. Jennifer Little, her stepmother, entered their lives with promises of care and support. However, the reality was far from the expectations. Jennifer viewed Selvy as an inconvenience rather than a daughter, and Lendy, preoccupied with his own struggles, did little to bridge the emotional gap.  Jennifer, Selvy's stepmother, was outwardly charming but often cold and dismissive and sometimes even abusive towards Selvy. Selvy often felt like an outsider in her own home. Selvy's adolescence was marked by a series of emotional and psychological hurdles. Her father’s dismissive attitude and her stepmother’s cold demeanor left her feeling isolated. The household atmosphere was often tense, with Lendy frequently criticizing and belittling Selvy, while Jennifer ignored her needs altogether. Despite the lack of support at home, Selvy found solace in her studies and in the friendships she cultivated at school. She was a conscientious student, known for her diligence and kindness. Her teachers often remarked on her remarkable resilience and positive attitude, unaware of the turmoil she faced at home.
