Santha Gopal

Santha Gopal, 69, passed away on December 13th, 2023.  ​ Santha was born on October 20, 1954 in Kalampur, Kerala. She came to the United States and worked as a registered nurse for over 16 years before retiring in 2019.  ​ Her strength and determination has fueled her family through these hard times. She will always be remembered and cherished. She was a first generation immigrant, a compassionate registered nurse and strong & determined person to push through life’s many challenges to meet her accomplishments.  Family was incredibly important to her.   ​ She is survived by her husband Gopalakrishnan Kochuveettil, daughter Sonia Gopal, son Shakun Gopal, son in law Jamal Gibson, daughter in law Asha Gopal and grandchildren Sooraj Gibson, Abhinav Gopal and Shivani Gopal.   With the help of family, friends and HRMA community, her family was able to take her home to India for her cremation. Funeral Services were held at Muvattupuzha, Ernakulam. A celebration of life will take place at Hindu Temple of Hampton Roads, Chesapeake on Saturday, February 3rd at 11:30 AM.
