IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Sandra L.
Miller
December 14, 1952 – December 7, 2024
Sandra L. Miller, 71, of Gloversville, New York, passed away peacefully on December 7, 2024 at Albany Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. Sandy was born in Gloversville on December 14, 1952 to the late Edgar David and Phyllis Elaine (Helwig) Baird.
For many years Sandy worked at Power Logistics in Johnstown, where she processed returns for the Walmart Distribution Center, and retired in 2012.
On April 3, 1971 she was united in marriage to Robert F. Miller Jr., with whom she shared 47 wonderful years, until his passing on February 13, 2018.
Sandy was a loving and devoted mother, who always enjoyed spending time with her family. She also enjoyed crocheting, cooking, and baking, especially for her family. Earlier in her life when she was raising her children, Sandy opened her home to a foreign exchange student from Venezuela named Jonathan Monsalve, who has been a part of the Miller family ever since.
She loved her 1968 Chevy Camaro, which she brought to car shows whenever she could. In quiet moments at home, she enjoyed tending to her flowers in her garden, and watching birds that came to her bird feeders.
Sandy leaves behind her loving family, including her children, Shannon (Joseph) Smith, and Jamie Scott Miller; her host son, Jonathan (Xioely) Monsalve; her siblings, David S. (Louanne) Baird, Kimberly (Timothy) Hohler, Michelle (Ronald) Barone, and Cindy (John) Power; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
