It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Ronald Edward Gordy, who left us on July 2, 2025, at the age of 68. Born on April 26, 1957, in Cumberland County, Ronald was a cherished brother, father, and a beloved grandfather.

Ronald is survived by his children—Jason Gordy, Melissa Durand, Diana Vogel, Jonathan Gordy, Rebecca Fisher, and Teresa Marx—along with 14 adoring grandchildren. He is also remembered by his sister, Susan Suggs, and his late brothers, Allen Kevin Gordy and Thomas Gordy Jr.

A man of many passions, Ronald found joy in simple pleasures. He was a motorcycle enthusiast, a beach lover, and an avid fisherman. His love for football was only matched by his ability to make those around him laugh. Ronald didn’t miss an opportunity to tell a joke or play a prank.

To honor Ronald’s life and spirit, a memorial service will be held on September 2, 2025, at 11 AM, at the Lafayette Memorial Park, located at 2301 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC. All who knew and loved him are welcome to join in celebrating the remarkable life he led.
