Robert Clifford Wilcox, affectionately known as Bob, was born on December 6, 1944, in Rockford, Illinois. Surrounded by his loved ones, he peacefully passed away on December 1st, 2024. Bob is widowed by his devoted wife of 55 years, Judith Wilcox who passed in 2024. Together, they embarked on a remarkable journey that spanned from Boston to Chicago, and from Germany to the charming states of Georgia, Tennessee, and Florida. A loving father and veteran, Bob is fondly remembered by his sons Jonathan, Mathew, and his daughter Meredith.

He found immeasurable joy in watching his children grow and was often seen in the bleachers of any of his children or grandchildren's sporting events.  He also greatly enjoyed witnessing the laughter of his grandchildren. His legacy will live on through them, as he imparted wisdom, humor, and love in everything he did.

Outside of his family, Bob was an avid golfer. Many will remember him for his competitive spirit and the passion he found on the course, always willing to tee it up and enjoy a round with his friends and family. His love for the game was only rivaled by his passion for dogs, always welcoming a furry friend into his home and heart over the years.

A memorial service to celebrate Bob's life will be held on December 19th at 10:30 am at the Sarasota National Cemetery. May he rest in peace with his wife.
