Robert R. Hasenfuss 68, ofAmsterdam entered into eternal life on July 10, 2025 at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, After a long hard fought battle with kidney and lung disease. Robert was born in Amsterdam New York December 2, 1956 the son of Robert F. and Shirley Spooner Hasenfuss. Robert attended area schools and he became the superintendent of the Woodrow Wilson townhomes in Amsterdam.He also worked for Home Depot, Anderson Instrument and Ward Products.

He was also a member of the Hagaman Volunteer Fire Department.

Survivors include his father Robert F. Hasenfuss , his loving wife, Patricia Slezak Hasenfuss , two daughters, Amy ( Aaron Cain) Hasenfuss and Renee (Ron Loria) Hasenfuss, four grandsons, Brayden and Orion Loria, Ashton and Addison Cain. Also survived by his special cousins who were very dear to his heart Mike and Lisa Spooner, One brother-in-law, Bill Slezak and a sister-in-law Karen Slezak Lee.

He was predeceased by his mother, Shirley

His grandparents, Ray and Nancy Spooner and one sister Debbie.

And a special thank you to the staff at Mohawk Valley Dialysis and Ellis ICU.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date
