Robert Louis Ambrosino, 78, of Gloversville, NY, passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
He was born on November 6, 1946, in Gloversville to the late Mary (Peters) and Ralph T. Ambrosino Sr. Robert graduated from Gloversville High School with the class of 1965 and shortly after enlisted into the United States AirForce. He served for eight months in Germany and was honorably discharged later that year. When he returned, he helped run out in his family's business, Amberson Gloves. Afterwards, he began his lifelong career of working in leather mills.
Robert was married to the love of his life Amy Fox-Ambrosino on July 21, 2020. They shared 31 years together until his passing.
Robert was a craftsman leather sculptor who enjoyed making different pieces. He was also a world-famous jokester who loved sharing stories to get a reaction out of his friends and family.
He was predeceased by his parents Mary and Ralph Ambrosino Sr., and brother Ralph Ambrosino Jr.
Robert is survived by his loving wife Amy Fox-Ambrosino; stepdaughter Colleen Fox; sister-in-law Roberta Ambrosino; nieces Robin (Dave) Ambrosino and Jill Ambrosino; as well as two aunts, several cousins, and many friends.
In keeping with Robert's wishes, there will be no services at this time. A celebration of life will take place in the spring.
