Richard Lee Van Meter

Richard, Lee Van Meter, 64, of Boynton Beach FL passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 28, 2023 after a long battle with lung cancer. Rick was one of the kindest, most generous, caring, honest, and loving people anyone would be blessed to know. He was so endearing to the younger kids in our family that they always call him “Uncle Rock.” He had the gift of listening and with that, he had much insight to offer. Loves were beaches, surfing, kites, USAF Thunderbirds & USN Blue Angels, crossword puzzles, and photography to name just a few. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold E Van Meter,Jr (2006) his mother, Evelyn (Knotts) Van Meter, in (2013) and his sister, Terri Akridge Black (2013), all of Boynton Beach. Rick is survived by his sister Vicki Van Meter Price (Jeff), his brother, Ron Van Meter, of Mascotte, Nieces Jenny Price and Becky Price Stewart (Josh) of Tallahassee; Emily Akridge Granados (Brandon), and RJ Akridge of Boynton Beach. Beth Brunswick of Mascotte and Bonnie Van Meter of Pensacola. His Great nieces Emma Stewart and Alysia Granados. Great nephews; Ethan an Elijah Stewart, Anthony and Adrien Granados of Boynton Beach.
