Rev. John Walter Riley

Rev. John Walter Riley, son of the late Jack Riley and Maxine Riley was born on September 9, 1949 in Durham County, North Carolina.Rev John attended Orange County School Systems, worked at Textile Hillsborough, Brick Mason and was a jack of all trades.He loved to hunt, fish and pitch horseshoes. He was known as "Big John" or Johnny Cotton Tail by his family and friends. Rev. John leaves to cherish his memory: his caretaker Patricia Riley; his daughter Jeannette Riley; stepsons Curtis Harrelson( Margielean), Timmy Harrelson and Fredrick Harrelson(Kelly); 5 gramdchildren and 8 great grandchildren; sisters Maxine Foster, Gloria Headen, Margery Jones, Linda Jones all of Hillsborough; brothers Norris Riley of Hillsborough and Calvin Riley(Cothen) of Mebane; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.He was preceded in death by his son John Walter Riley Jr,; brothers, Curtis Riley, Michael Riley and Ricky Riley; sister Barbara Daye; niece Jackson Daye; nephew Norman Daye Jr
