IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Penny Arlene
Andrews
November 4, 1945 – December 27, 2024
Penny Arlene Andrews, beloved wife and mother, passed away on December 27, 2024, at UCHealth Hospital in Greeley, Colorado.
Penny was born on November 4, 1945, in Sterling, Colorado to Maxine and Merle Moncrief. She attended numerous schools across the country as her father was an oil field worker, and by her teenage years her family had settled in Cheyenne, Wyoming where she attended East High School.
In June 1970, Penny married Dan Andrews, and they began their life together with daughter Tammy. In 1971 Penny and Dan moved from Cheyenne to Greeley, Colorado where Penny worked as a Case Worker for the U.S. Welfare Department. In April of 1973, they welcomed their son Mark.
Penny spent the next 15 years as a homemaker and raised their two children. In 1984, Dan and Penny decided to open their own electrical business, with Penny as the Owner of Craftsman Electric.
Penny followed Dan's interests in Street Rodding and together they had several classic street rods including a 1957 Chevy and a 1940 Ford pick-up. They attended Street Rod events and enjoyed going on long weekend cruises in their cars.
She supported Dan and her son Mark in their passions for team sorting and team penning on the rodeo circuit. Although she did not participate, she enjoyed cheering for her family. They ran a successful business together until 2017, when Dan and Penny both retired. In their retirement, they enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to play in poker tournaments, and spending time with their family.
As Penny's health declined, she became an avid crafter and enjoyed quilting and crocheting with her daughter. She loved animals of all kinds, but was particular to dogs, with her dog Buster being among one of her favorite pets. Penny loved living away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoyed having cats, cows, and horses around her.
Penny is survived by her husband of 54 years, Dan Andrews, her daughter Tammy, son Mark, and many, many friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you please donate to NOCO Humane or to the American Diabetes Association to honor the memory of Penny Andrews.
