Patrick "Pat" Stolleis

July 2, 1953 — November 12, 2025

With heavey hearts, we announce the passing of Patrick Richard Stolleis, who left this world peacefully, surrounded by his family

on November 12, 2025, after a brief and unexpected illness. He was 72 years old.

Born July 2nd, 1953, Pat lived a life defined by resilience, hard work, and devotion to his family. He built and ran his own business, 

a testament to his determination. Though faced with struggles in his life, he never stopped striving to provide for those he loved and to leave

a mark of perseverance and grit.

Life tested Pat in profound ways. At a young age he suffered the loss of a hand, yet he refused to let this setback define him. His determination

carried him through, and he continued to work tirelessly buiding a future for his family. Later at the age of 57. He survived a brain aneurysm, another

challenge that revealed his remarkable strength and will to live.

Pat was of the Catholic faith and the faith helped him through many of life's challenges and gave him peace in his final days.

For 54 years, Pat shared his life with his beloved wife, Carolyn Stolleis. Their marriage was a story of enduring commitment, weathering 

challenges tgether and celebratin joys side by side.

Pat was a husband, father, and friend whose presence will be deeply miss but forever remembered.

He is survived by his wife Carolyn Stolleis of Englewood, Florida. Daugher, Michelle (Mike) Denault of Mount Vernon, Illinois

grandchildren Jonathan Forbes and Jacob Forbes of Mount Vernon,  Addysen Denault of DuQuoin, Illlinois, Emersyn Denault of Orland Park, Illinois 

and Elizabeth (Brendan) Birch of Loami, Illinois.  Sister Stacey (Buz Waldmire) DeFiffuccia, brothers Tom Stolleis Springfield, Illinois and Mike (JoAnne Neathery) Stolleis, Pleasant Plains, Illinois, and Norma (Troy) Bauer of Greenview, Illinois. Sister-in-laws JoAnn Stuches (partner Michael Costello), Shirley(Steve) Lindsey of Fort Myers, Florida. Borther-in-laws, Lester (Debbie) Harvill, Springfield, Illinois  and Kenneth (Joyce) Harvill of Lillian, Alabama. 

He was proceded in death by His beloved mother, Marie Stolleis, father Carl (Mary Lou) Stolleis. His father and mother in-law, LesterLLoyd Harvill and Shirley Harvill. 

Though Pats's journey was marked by hardship, he leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and endurance. His story reminds us that even in struggle,

there is dignity, and in devation, there is lasting impact.

A Celebration of Pat's lif will be held at a later date, with burial to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetary in Springfield, Illinois

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Safe and Sound Schools, a national non-profit dedicated to School safety advocacy and

resources. Pat's daughter serves as a speaker for the organization addressing topics of grooming and abuse. Donations can be made at  safeandsoundschools.org.
