Patricia Ann Truxillo Schiro

December 20, 1945 — July 25, 2023

Patricia Ann Truxillo Schiro, 77, entered eternal life on Tuesday, July 25, 2023. Pat was born on December 20, 1945, in New Orleans, LA. She attended St. Scholastica Academy before becoming a radiology technician at Charity Hospital in New Orleans. Pat expanded her career by learning how to do CT scans and mammograms. She took great care of her patients, and many expressed their sadness when she retired from Hancock Medical Center in Bay St. Louis, MS. Pat loved to love people and always found the good in those she loved. She was passionate about sharing her Catholic faith through Bible Study groups, the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, and with many children in CCD (Sunday School) classes through the years. In the latter part of her life, she was devoted to praying for others and also enjoyed searching the many cookbooks in her collection for new ideas to try in the kitchen. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Frank Paul Schiro, Jr; a stepdaughter Wendy Lynn Schiro; and her parents Thomas and Audrey Truxillo. She was the loving mother and best friend of Stacy Schiro Necaise (Darlon) and caring stepmother to Frank Paul Schiro, III. She was adored by her grandchildren: Frank Paul Schiro, IV; Danielle Lombard; Brandon Paul Schiro; Destiny Marie Schiro; and her three great-granddaughters: Aliyah Claire, Kingzley Lynn, and Kyzlyn Leigh. The family of Patricia invite you to join them for her Funeral Mass on Saturday, September 2, 2023, starting at 11 a.m. at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 9062 Kiln-Delisle Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571. Reception of guests will begin at 9 a.m. with the Rosary prayed at 10:15 a.m. in the Church. After the Mass, friends and family are welcome to enjoy a repast at St. Stephen's Cultural Community Center, 25220 St. Stephen's Road, Pass Christian, MS 39571. In lieu of flowers, prayers and mass intentions for the peaceful repose of Patricia's soul are most encouraged. Donations may be made to Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in her honor. A private Rite of Committal (interment service) will be celebrated later in the week at the Biloxi National Cemetery where Patricia will be buried next to her husband on what would have been there 55th wedding anniversary. The family would like to express sincere appreciation for the loving care and attention given to Patricia by the administration and staff of Pass Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center. They also appreciate the support and service received from Marshall Funeral Home.
