Patricia "Grandma Pat" Payas

Patricia Payas, or as we all called her, Grandma Pat, was born in Pierre, South Dakota, and was adopted by Ann and Waldemar “Wally”. She grew up on the farm and became quite fond of the countryside. After graduating from high school, she attended the College of Saint Benedict. Patricia loved learning and graduated with a degree in Education.

Shortly after, she met her soon-to-be husband, Thomas Bauer, and they started a family in the Madison area. Patricia was a proud educator for the Madison School District for over 25 years. She often found herself reading and writing two of her greatest passions in life and watching her grandchildren play the sports they loved.

Patricia is survived by her two sons, Adam and Tom, and her four grandchildren: Nash, Tommy, Lilah, and Roman.
