Pamela Lee Hoffman

Age 70, of Platteville, Colorado, passed away on Friday, April 4, 2025, at her home.

Pamela was born in Herlong, California, to Thomas D. and Betty Jean (Payne) Hawkins. As the daughter of an Air Force service member, Pamela lived in many places during her childhood, eventually graduating from Cherry Creek High School in Englewood Colorado. Later, she proudly served in the Air National Guard and raised a family near Platteville.

Pamela met her husband John S. Hoffman and the two were later married on August 24, 1979. Together, they settled on a farm in Northern Colorado, where she raised a family and many animals from horses, rabbits, and Golden Retrievers. She enjoyed the bright colors of springtime with all the blooming flowers.

Pamela is survived by her parents, Thomas and Betty Hawkins of Columbia, South Carolina; daughters, Melissa Hoffman of Platteville and Sara Hoffman of Evans; siblings, Michael Hawkins of Fort Morgan, and Deborah Moody (Joe) of Maggie Valley, North Carolina; her beloved dogs, Bindi, Fame, and cat, Button; as well as her grand-dog, Hero. She was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Hoffman.

A celebration of Pamela's life will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Adamson Life Celebration Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Mile High Golden Retriever Club in care of Adamson Life Celebration Home, 2000 W. 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.
