Zenaida Bautista Concepcion passed away at home with her family by her side on September 23, 2024, in Thiells, New York. She was 83 years old. Zeny was born on June 9, 1941, in Obando, Philippines where she was a highly skilled seamstress. She joined her family in the U.S. in 1996 and continued sewing for friends and family for the next 28 years. Zeny leaves behind her daughter Angie Concepcion Yakal, son-in-law Dave Yakal, and grandchildren Allison, Maddie, and David. She is survived by her brother Leonardo Concepcion and sister-in-law Ofelia of Fishkill, New York; sister Ferlida Pacheco of Obando, Philippines; and sister Estelita Roberto and brother-in-law Romualdo of Ontario, Canada. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews. A funeral mass will be held at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, NY, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00AM. Interment will follow at the end of October in Obando, Philippines.
