IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Walter W.
Schulok
January 6, 1940 – March 24, 2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Walter "Walt" Schulok on March 24th, surrounded by his loving family.
Walt was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose warmth and wisdom touched the lives of so many. He is predeceased by his parents, Florence and Julius, and his brother, Joseph. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 60 years, Mary, with whom he built a lifetime of love and cherished memories.
A proud graduate of Manhattan College, Walt went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps. His career in the food industry was nothing short of remarkable, working for both General Foods and Kraft Foods, where he had the honor of creating beloved products such as Jell-O Pudding Pops. Through his work, he not only left a lasting impact on the industry but also formed lifelong friendships that he cherished deeply.
Walt was a resident of Stony Point for over 50 years, where he and Mary built a loving home and became part of a wonderful community. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He was the proud and loving father of Mary Pat (Robert), William (Linda), Christopher (Mary), Joseph (Terri), James (Karrie), and Maureen (Kevin). His love extended to his thirteen grandchildren: Jessica (Patrick), Lauren (Adam), Ryan, Tyler (Eileen), Sarah, Erik, Samantha (Johan), Olivia, Nicole, Alyssa, Kylie, Emily, and Aubrey, and his four great-grandchildren: Austin, Grayson, Jolie, and Logan.
Walt's legacy is one of love, laughter, and unwavering support for those he held dear. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
As Walt often said, "I never thought a kid who grew up in the projects of Queens could live the life I have lived."
