Obituary

April 30, 1933 – May 29, 2020 Theda Jackson, born April 30, 1933 in her grandmother's small farm house in Monroe, Oregon, passed away peacefully on May 29, 2020 at Mapleview Manor in Milwaukie, Oregon. She grew up in the Barlow, Canby area, graduating from Girls Polytechnic High School. Following graduation she married and settled in Clackamas, Oregon where she went on to teach in a pilot program for mentally disabled children helping to develop the program for the public school system. She was heavily involved in the Clackamas Bible Church youth group. In her later years Theda was a foster parent and shared her home with countless foster children. After retiring from teaching she spent her time managing multiple rentals. Family was important to her and was her greatest love in life. Theda will be best remembered for being an amazing friend, wanting to lend a helping hand to everyone she met. Theda is preceded in death by her husband Junior. She is survived by her brother Melvin Moore, sons Armond and Gordon Fast, daughters Rita (Fast) Roth and Sharon (Fast) Warner, and son-in-law Ron Warner. She had one granddaughter Stephanie Kahe'e and two great granddaughters Addison and Harper. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, her celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Clackamas County Special Olympics Bowling.
