It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, Santo Ardiri at the age of 82 on January 10, 2025 surrounded by loved ones. Following the loss of his wife, Josephine Ardiri he now joins her in eternal rest. Santo was a cherished member of the West Haverstraw community. Born on May 16, 1942 to Salvatore and Catena Ardiri, in San Piero Patti, Sicily. Santo lived a life marked by his unwavering dedication to his loved ones. Santo came to America in May of 1958. His strong work ethic and desire to take care of his family paved the way for future generations to follow in his footsteps. He was a mastermind in every aspect. Santo wore many hats in life. He worked as a barber, owned a black top company and a pizzeria in Venice, FL. Santo cherished time spent with family and friends, tending to his garden, and perfecting his famous home made wine. Those who knew Santo would describe him as wise, his guidance and wisdom were sought by many. He touched the lives of countless individuals. He leaves behind a legacy of love and leadership. Survived by his three daughters, Catena Clifford (Kevin), Maria Holland (William), Annette McMonegal (Timothy). His grandchildren, Erika, Nicholas (Nicole), Vincent (Nicole), William (Caroline), Kiera, Daniella, Christopher, and Patrick. His siblings Concetta, Joe, Maria, and John, along with many nieces and nephews. Santo was predeceased by his brother, Filippo. Services will be held on April 19th, 2025, 11:00 am at Excelsior Engine Co. Inc. Firestation 1 Mike Kernan Dr., Pearl River, NY 10965, and on May 3rd, 2025 10:00 am at St. Peter's Church, 115 Broadway Haverstraw, NY 10927 with lunch to follow at Fireside, 84 North Liberty Dr., Stony Point, NY 10980, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. Santo's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the honor of knowing him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten. May he rest in peace.
