IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Patricia Dian
Sandberg
January 13, 1936 – August 11, 2025
Pat was born on January 13th, 1936, in Grandview, WA to Frank and Ruby Quiett. In 1941 they moved to Portland where Pat graduated from Beaverton High School in 1954. It was while she was in high school that she met the love of her life Norman Sandberg in 1952. They were married on Sept. 8th, 1956, after Norman’s return from 4 years as an Air Force Medic. On graduation from high school Pat worked as a dental assistant until starting her family. Norm and Pat lived in Cedar Hills before moving to Aloha, where they raised their three children. The family enjoyed church activities and social events, camping, cross country skiing, and sailing at the Willamette Sailing Club. Once the kids were in school, Pat worked for the Beaverton School District Business Office for 22 years, retiring in 1993. In retirement Norm and Pat enjoyed over 40 years of travel in the US and Europe. They participated in an antique club for over 50 years. They worked with dear friends making wine. And then there was the quilting, which saw Pat win many ribbons at the Washington County Fair, establish the Mission Quilters, and Quilt retreats with dear friends. Pat was an active member of the Cedar Hills United Church of Christ for over 73 years and lead the Mission Quilters for over 25 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents Frank and Ruby Quiett, her brothers Bob Quiett and Don Quiett, daughter-in-law Bea (Sehorn) Sandberg, and husband of 59 years Norman Sandberg.
She is survived by her three children: Son Chris Sandberg, Son Jeff Sandberg (wife Linda), Daughter Karin Larson (husband Dana), 7 Grandchildren, and 6 Great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 4th at 11:00 am at Cedar Hills United Church of Christ with a reception to follow.
Gifts can be made to the Cedar Hills United Church of Christ Endowment Fund or Providence Hospice.
