Obituary

Nancy Lee Dotterer was born in Lock Haven, PA on Nov. 26, 1942. She graduated from Bald Eagle Nittany High School, Clarion State College and Indiana University of PA.

She taught school in PA for 2 1/2 years. Part of her family (Elmer, Emily and Diane) moved to Oregon in 1964. In 1966 she began teaching for the Department of Defense Schools. For 28 years she worked as a teacher in Labrador, Okinawa, England and Sicily.

After a month of retirement, she took training for OMSI's volunteer program. She also has volunteered at the Oregon Convention Center, Providence Child Center and SnowCap Community Charities and various retirement centers. Nancy has also enjoyed volunteering with puppets at many places. Also, ice skating with the Hooky Club has been tremendous fun!

Survived by her brother: Leslie Dotterer, and his two children; Michael and Katherine Dotterer, and her sister; Diane Pearson, and her daughter; Emily Hitchner.

At her request no memorial should be held. Any donations should be given to a charity of your choice.
