Mary Ciorra (nee Moran), a long-time resident of Garnerville, NY, who most recently resided in Pearl River, passed peacefully on May 22, 2024 at the age of 90. Mary is survived by her loving and grateful children, Paul and Anthony, daughters-in-law Justine and Patrice, and her six adoring grandchildren Alaina, Thomas, Dylan, Jake, Paul, and Hannah. She is also survived by countless nieces, nephews, sisters and brothers-in-laws. Mary loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, watching old movies and reminiscing about her youth in Ireland (Up Mayo!). She is predeceased by her husband Fred and her son Michael. She was also a cherished older sister of two deceased sisters, Una and Ann. Mary was born in the Town of Bangor Erris, County Mayo, Ireland on July 12, 1933 to parents Thomas and Margaret Moran before emigrating to the USA at the age of 25 in 1958. She lived in the Bronx where she met her future husband, Fred. They were married for nearly 59 years and raised a beautiful family. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation, Thursday, May 30th, 4 pm to 8 pm at T.J. McGowen Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, in Garnerville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 31st at 11 am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, 21 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 10 W. Stevens Ave, Hawthorne, NY. All our welcome to join the family afterwards for repass at Knights of Columbus, 150 Erie St, Blauvelt, NY.
