Marie Covati-Lodini, 89, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the kind and caring Joe Raso Hospice Residence in New City, New York.

Marie was born September 22, 1934 in Haverstraw, NY, to Mary Natale June and Harry June. She attended Haverstraw High School up until her career of many years at the Spring Street Sweater Factory in Haverstraw. She later found employment at Helen Hayes Hospital in the housekeeping department until her retirement in 1999.

Marie married her late husband Harry Covati on June 6,1954 and was a devoted and loving wife until his passing in 1969. She was a loving and caring sister who was constantly there for her many siblings. She enjoyed bingo, dancing, and outings with her lifelong friend Margie and Frankie where they would shop and enjoy lunch weekly. She belonged to the Senior Citizens Club of Stony Point and enjoyed her many trips with them dearly. Her greatest joy, however, was the time spent with her family and every memory they made during the holiday season.

She is preceded by her parents Mary Natale June and Harry June, her husband Harry Covati, and siblings Edward June, Eleanor Kelly, Anna Skinner.

She is survived by her siblings Frances Raggi, Rita Curley, Carolyn Cataldi (Phil), Harry June (Gail), and many nieces and nephews.

The funeral arrangements will be taken care of by T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home.  All are welcome for calling hours on Thursday, September 26, 2024 which will be held at 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY from 4:00-8:00PM. Services will be held at the funeral parlor on Friday the 27th at 11:00AM. The burial will follow services at Saint Peters Cemetery, Haverstraw NY.
