Obituary

Karen Delloro Piantadosi, 71, of Garnerville, New York, passed away on June 20, 2025 with her loving husband and family members at her side.

Karen was born in Suffern, New York on February 19, 1954 to Marie Guidice Delloro and Henry James Delloro. She attended elementary school in Stony Point and graduated from North Rockland High School in 1972.

Karen grew up in a large, close-knit Italian family with aunts, uncles, and cousins whom she cherished throughout her life. Karen and Mike were married on December 6, 1985 and celebrated 40 happy years together. She worked for over 20 years for International Laborers Local 754. Her smile and easy disposition earned her many friends over the years.

Karen was very creative. She liked to draw and paint as well as work with etching and wood burning. She enjoyed country music, but Dean Martin was her favorite singer. She and Mike enjoyed going to Saratoga during racing season and could be found at area casinos from time to time.

Karen was predeceased by her parents, Marie and Henry Delloro and her cherished grandmother, Rose Guidice Lindqvist; and her stepson, James Piantadosi. Karen is survived by her beloved husband Mike; her step-daughter Lori Armstrong (and husband Keith Armstrong) and grandchildren Nicholas, Annie, and Maddie; her step-son Michael Pat and grandchildren Michelle, Anthony, and Michael; her grandchildren Jimmy and Jenny; her step-son Albert and grandchildren Vincent and Victoria; her sister Arlene Delloro (and partner Larry Bobb); her sister Janet Tupa; her nephew Michael Tupa (and partner Katie McGowan) and great-nieces Isabelle Tupa and Talia Tupa and great-nephew Mason Tupa; as well as by her many loving cousins and friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Family will receive visitors on Wednesday, June 25, 2025 from 4PM – 8PM at TJ McGowan Sons, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. Burial will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2025 at 11:30 AM at Mt. Repose Cemetery in Haverstraw, NY.
