Joseph Mileski of Garnerville, NY passed away on June 11, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Joseph was born on June 19, 1948 to Stella and Joseph Mileski, whom he is predeceased by. Also predeceasing Joseph are his sisters Margaret and Dolores and his brothers in law Patrick, Vincent, and Francis. Joseph is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Felicia, his children Christopher (Cheryl), Adrienne, Michele (Jason), and Joanne and his cherished grandchildren Justin, Marissa, Andrew, Alexandria, and Abigail. He is also survived by his sisters Irene and Virginia (Joseph) and numerous nieces and nephews who hold fond memories. Joseph is adored by countless friends as well. Joseph graduated high school from St. Helena in Bronx, NY. He served in Howitzer Battery 3rd Squadron of the 14th Armored Cavalry during the Vietnam War. Joseph was honorably discharged at the rank of Sergeant. After a 40 year career with Verizon Joseph retired in 2006. He was a proud union member of the Communication Workers of America local 1101 and 1107. After retiring Joseph spent his time with his family, as well as, doing home improvement at his children’s homes. Joseph had a vast love for the New York Yankees. He also loved Doo-wop music and could be found singing and dancing to the music. Another one of his passions was the 4th of July holiday. He often celebrated by having a party with family and friends and ended the night with an impressive fireworks display. Joseph derived great pleasure from his 1967 Pontiac LeMans. He spent many weekends at car shows and won hundreds of trophies for his beautiful car.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, 11am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church in Garnerville, followed by interment at Mt. Repose Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
