IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Josefina "Fefa"
A. Peralta
August 30, 1944 – February 8, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Josefina A. Peralta, a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, widow, sister, and friend, who left this world on February 8, 2025, at the age of 80. She was surrounded by her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters, daughter in laws, son in laws many friends & extended family, who together stayed with her until her last breath.
Born on August 30, 1944, in San José de las Matas, Dominican Republic, our mother was known for her creativity and warm, quiet spirit. From a young age, she discovered her love for sewing, a passion that brought her joy and fulfillment throughout her life. Whether tailoring outfits for family or friends, she poured her heart and soul into every stitch.
As a dedicated mother, Josefina introduced us, her children, to the values of kindness, perseverance, integrity, respect, accountability, courage, and belief. Her encouraging words and support shaped us into the individuals we are today.
While our mother Josefina has departed from this world, her spirit will forever be woven into the hearts and lives of all those she touched. May her memory be a blessing, and may her legacy continue to inspire creativity and love in all who knew her.
She is survived by her children: Jose Rafael, Eddy, Yanelly, Deyanira, and Carmen; her grandchildren: Yissett, Christopher, Omar, Eddie, Edwin, Jonathan, Randy, Angel, Crystal, Jason, Justin, and JoEliz; Daughter-in law Yinnett and Angela along with Son-In Law Landy and Jose, her great-grandchild, Stefan. All of whom will remember her for her warmth, strength, and countless love-filled gifts. She is also remembered with great love by her extended family and friends, with whom she made lasting connections, shared her talent, and inspired others to embrace their own creativity.
Rest in peace, our beautiful mother. Your needle may be at rest, but the love you stitched into our lives will remain forever.
A celebration of our mother Josefina's life will be held on February 18, 2025 from 3pm-9pm at McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 133 Broadway, Haverstraw, NY 10927.
