Joan D. Soriano, 93, of Garnerville, NY, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was born in Garnerville, NY on May 3, 1930 and graduated from Haverstraw High School. Joan married Pedro A. Soriano on July 1, 1951 and raised a beautiful family together. Joan worked as a bookkeeper for many years. She had a passion for gardening, shopping, reading, and animals but her greatest joy came from her family. She will be missed by all who knew her. Joan is survived by her children Christine (Jay) Barry, Gregg (Maria) Soriano, and Karen (Todd) Carlevaro; her grandchildren Jay Jr. (Lindsay), Christopher (Chrismary), Brianna, Todd Jr., Gregg Jr., Joey, Cara (Tom), and Melissa (Dan). She is also survived by five great grandchildren and her niece, Lea Mueller. Joan was predeceased by her husband, Pedro, her parents, Adelia and Harry Hahn, her sister and brother-in-law, Sharon and Ray Vreeland, and nephew, Scott Vreeland. Family will receive friends on Thursday, February 29, 2024 from 4pm-8pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. A service officiated by Rev. Warren Brandt will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, 10:30am at the funeral home, followed by interment at Mt. Repose Cemetery, Rt. 9W, Haverstraw, NY.
