Jesus Rafael Mendoza, age 79, of New City, New York, passed away peacefully on May 23 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Born on June 14, 1945, in Bayamón, Puerto Rico, Jesus lived a full and meaningful life grounded in faith, hard work, and love for his family. He carried with him the warmth and resilience of his Puerto Rican roots, always offering strength, wisdom, and a kind heart to those around him.

Jesus is survived by his devoted wife, Maria Mendoza; his six children-four daughters Marisol (Tyrone), Mercedes (Victor), Enaida, Briana and two sons Steven and Antonio (Diana)-who carry forward his legacy of compassion and perseverance; three granddaughters Ariella, Cataleya, and Alina, five grandsons, Tyrone, Andre, Armando, Jayden, and Luke and one great-grandchild Kai, and his sister Flora who brought him immense pride and joy.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Florie, first wife, Ana, and his beloved sister, Doris Figueroa.

Jesus will be remembered for his strength, generous spirit, hard work, life of the party, and unwavering love for his family. His stories, laughter, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A funeral service will be held on June 13 2025 at Church of St. Gregory Barbarigo at 211 Cinder Rd. Garnerville, NY ( https://www.legacy.com/us/obituaries/local/new-york/garnerville ), 10923 with mass beginning at 11am. He will be celebrated on June 14 2025 which would have been his 80th birthday at 18 Adams Dr. Stony Point, NY 10986 from 4pm-8pm.

Though he is no longer with us, his love will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
