Jan Tacoronti, 77, passed away on February 8, 2025, in Delray Beach, Florida . Born on July 24, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, Jan lived a life defined by warmth, kindness, and unwavering loyalty to those she loved. A dedicated registered nurse, Jan devoted her career to caring for others with empathy and compassion. Her strength and intelligence were evident in all aspects of her life, from her professional endeavors to her deep involvement in her community. She was an active member of the Democratic Committee and participated in countless other committees over the years. She also had a long-standing connection with the Girl Scouts, reflecting her commitment to mentorship and service. Jan found joy in travel and camping, always eager for new experiences and adventures. She cherished time spent with family and friends, creating lasting memories filled with laughter and love. Her grandchildren held a special place in her heart, and she delighted in every moment shared with them. A lover of country music and Christmas she embraced the holiday season with enthusiasm. Her beloved cats, Simon and Olivia, were constant companions who brought her great comfort. She is survived by her loving husband, Ronald A. Tacoronti (Tac); her daughters Jessica Miller (Terrence) and Rebecca Cadiz; her grandchildren Heather Vellardito (Matthew), Austin Paul (Bridget), and Damon Paul; as well as many dear friends who will miss her deeply. She was predeceased by her mother, Theresa Wardell. A memorial service to honor Jan's life will be held on February 15, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at TJ McGowan Funeral Home, located at 71 N. Central Hwy, Garnerville, New York 10923. Jan's legacy of kindness and strength will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to all who mourn her passing.
