Obituary

It is with profound sadness that the family of James Costin announce his sudden passing. Jimmy was born on October 12th,1967 in Bronx NY. To James and Kathleen Costin. He was a proud resident of Garnerville. Jimmy will be sadly missed by his wife Karolyn, his four children James, Kaitlyn, Patrick, and Keira along with his best friend Gucci. Jimmy's siblings Tommy (Elizabeth) Costin, Annie (Stephen) Magee, Kathleen (Adam) DeSilva, Michael (Shannon) Costin, and Helen (Dave) Gavinovich. Along with his many cousins, nieces and nephews ~ Aunts and Uncles. Jimmy was an amazing husband and extremely dedicated father. He always put his family before himself. Words cannot express how wonderful of a person he was. He had an incredible passion for coaching. He was loved on and off the ice, field and court. He enjoyed watching his kids play baseball, hockey, basketball, and softball. Jimmy didn't miss a game or tournament no matter how far away. Family and friends meant the world to him. He was a man of immense humor and wisdom, cherishing every moment spent with his loved ones. He was always making jokes and had a contagious laugh, and he had everyone laughing with him. Jimmy always had a smile on his face. One of his many things he loved doing was going to Rockaway to hangout with his friends under the wave. He tried not to miss the Rockaway St. Patricks day parade. Jimmy loved to visit his Aunt Mare.

Jimmy was an electrician with Local 3 IBEW for over 20 years. He made amazing everlasting friends on his job sites. Jimmy was a very hardworking and diligent worker. He would share his many work stories over dinner. He lit up every room he walked into and always wanted a hug. We are throughly going to miss him asking us to look at his lawn every time he mowed and his loving good morning texts. Among a million other things he did so lovingly. Gucci already misses his scrambled eggs in the morning and his walks with his best buddy. We love you so much Jimmy there are literally no words.
