Obituary

Hilda Louisa Mandler Cusick born October 25, 1925, went to join the choir in heaven on April 29, 2020 at the age of 94. She is reuniting with her beloved husband Paul Leo and her daughter Roxann Theresa Cusick. Hilda was born in the Bronx, New York and lived the majority of her life in Garnerville, NY where she spent her last days. Hilda was a very accomplished singer with many choral and choir ensembles. She sang for Pope John Paul II at the Vatican with the Rockland County Catholic Choir. Hilda was also a long time member of the Hudsoneers and an original choir member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Church. Hilda was involved with many groups that focused on the betterment of others - Association for Retarded Citizens (ARC), 4H, St. Gregory's Catholic Church, Town of Haverstraw Democratic Committee and numerous senior citizen organizations, just to name a few. Along with her husband and daughter, she is predeceased by her parents Henrietta Eve and Samuel Mandler, her in-laws Frank and Anna Cusick. Hilda is survived by her children and their spouses, Paula and Rob Clark of Old Saybrook, CT, Carol and David Moore of Evansville, IN, John and Stacey Cusick of Cuddebackville, NY; Grandchildren Edward and Amanda Rummel, William and Keith Fox, Melissa Sizemore, Thor, Paul and Erik Cusick, two great granddaughters, her sister Diana Leibesberger, and many nieces and nephews. There will be no public viewing due to health restrictions. A memorial service will be planned in the future to celebrate her wonderful life. Her graveside service at St. Peter's Cemetery will be private. Donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Gregory Barbarigo Church. Arrangements held by T.J.
