Eugene Gokey of Garnerville NY passed away on October 30th at Good Samaritan Hospital. Eugene fought a courageous battle with cancer. Eugene was born in 1959 September to Edward Gokey and  Carol (Haverlick)- Gokey. Eugene later attended North Rockland High school, Rockland Community College and then the Marines. Then, worked locally as a glazer with Monsey and Stony Point glass. He was an uncle to Nicolette (Gokey) Criag and Danielle (Gokey) Scala, and then was a great uncle to 6 with 1 coming Ava, Dominic, Celina, Vincent, Lorenzo and Francesco, and one coming in April. Gene enjoyed finding out what his grandnieces & grandnephews were doing all the time, and visiting all of us. Eugene also enjoyed watching the Yankees, a avid Baseball player and fan. Eugene is predeceased by his father Edward Gokey, he is survived by his mother Carol Gokey and brother Jeffrey Gokey and his sister Michelle Gokey and 2 nieces Nicolette Craig her husband John Craig,  and Danielle Scala her husband Vincent Scala with many nieces and nephews. Eugene will be missed by everyone who knew him, he always had a smile on his face.
