Ena Gonsalves married Robert Hoflund before the start of World War II, and together they raised four children- Donna, Denise, Debbie, and Robert- in Inwood, New York City. She later settled in Garnerville with Bob, where she built a long career in banking before her retirement.

Ena will be remembered for her distinctive laugh, her love of travel, and her joy in dancing. She was also deeply devoted to animals, from her cherished dogs and cats to her wild birds. Above all, she was a devoted guardian and matriarch to her loving family.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 7th, 2025 from 2pm-6pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Haverstraw, NY. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 8th, 2025, 11am at Fred Loescher Veterans Cemetery, Spring Valley, NY.
