Carmen Louisa Vasquez passed away on Monday, November 18th, 2024 with her loving family by her side. She was 93. Born on October 27th, 1931 to Maria and Raymond Torres in Cabo-Rojo, Puerto Rico, Carmen was raised in the Bronx, NY where she had a happy childhood, along with her 2 loving sisters, Anjela and Edna. As she became of age, she met and married Martin Vasquez, her husband for 73 plus years. Carmen and Martin moved up to Rockland County and settled in Haverstraw, NY, where they raised their 8 children, which whom she is survived by, 8 children whom she loved for, Martin, Nancy, Joyce, Carol, Paul, Jackie, Stella and Ronnie. Carmen also had numerous children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, many beloved nieces and nephews, cousins, sisters-in-law, Alice and Louise, and many good, dear friends near and far. Carmen cherished everyone so deeply in her life. Carmen left a legacy of love to everyone she came in contact with throughout her life. Her family will miss her greatly.

Carmen spent her career working for NY state at Letchworth Village, as well held a job for the Avon Cosmetics brand as one of the 1st Avon ladies.Celebration of life for friends and family will be held on Saturday November 30th, 2024 from 11am-3pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville NY. In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations to be made in Carmen's memory to the American Breast Cancer Society.
