Assunta “Sue” Scroggs, 88, of Stony Point, passed away on August 14, 2025. She was born on July 15, 1937, in Bronx, NY to Lorenzo & Catherine Riccardi Palombo. She married her loving husband, Robert Scroggs, on August 7, 1971, he predeceased her on November 6, 2004. Besides her husband, Sue is predeceased by her parents Lorenzo & Catherine Palombo and her younger brother, Larry. Sue is survived by her loving children Mary Kay Rivera (Lee) of Stony Point, Anthony Casareale of Yonkers, Theresa Tavolacci of Beacon, Connie Casareale of Kingston, her cherished grandchildren Robert & Nicole Dunn, Anthony, Joseph, Christopher, Francesca Casareale, Anthony & Erica Tavolacci, Brittany Peck, Jason Totten, her 11 adored great grandchildren and a loving family also survive her.

The family will receive friends & relatives on Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 3pm-7pm at TJ McGowan Sons Funeral Home in Garnerville, NY. Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Sue on Monday, August 18, 2025, 11am at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, followed by interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Haverstraw, NY.
