Amat Joseph Watson passed on May 28, 2024. He was 60 years old. Amat was born on June 22, 1963 in Queens, NY to Joseph and Patricia Watson. He worked as a Resident Services Coordinator for Walnut Hills Apartments where he loved bringing joy to the seniors living there. Amat married the love of his life, Millie Castro-Watson, on August 30th, 2001. Amat was an avid sports fan, huge Knicks fan, and enjoyed collecting sports memorabilia. He loved to cook and spend time with his family, but his greatest joy came from his great and grandchildren. He will be missed by all who knew him. Amat is survived by his beloved wife Millie, and his 4 children Charlene, AJ, Christopher, and Jennifer. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren Naomi, Kayla, Eva, James, Ryan, and Isaac, his great-grandson Wesley, and siblings Midgy, Jojo, Richie, and Zenaida. Amat was predeceased by his sister Stephanie. A viewing will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 from 4-8 pm at T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, 10 am, at St. Peter's Church, Haverstraw, to honor Amat's life.
