December 28, 1929 — May 25, 2024

Nova Lee West, 94, passed away on May 25th, 2024 at Grace Living Center in Jenks, OK. Those who knew her best called her Nanny. Nova was born in Okfuskee County, OK on December 28th, 1929 to Henry Madison "Matt" Mynhier and Viola Marie Peterson. She went to Business school in Oklahoma City where she met her loving husband, Darrell Dee West. He proposed on the first date and Nova could only respond with laughter. They were married on November 15th, 1947 and together raised three children. Nova and Darrell enjoyed the simple things like cooking together and sightseeing. She was a wonderful grandmother and mother, bringing love and comfort to those around her. She loved her family and always put them first. She was an incredibly upstanding woman that will be missed dearly. She loved Jesus with all of her heart. Nova was predeceased by her loving husband, Darrell West and her great grandson, Sean Michael Wetmore. She's survived by her children Darrell and Cindy West, Phyllis and Roger Burch, and Carolyn Barabasz. Her grandchildren Anthony West, Clayton and Lynzie Vaden, Danyel West, Dean Loveall and Sabrina Fortuna, Zach Loveall, Nick and Hayley Ervin, Ashley Ervin, Tracy Lynn and Tracy Irwin, Kristal Burch Kelley, Michael and Tracie Barabasz and Jennifer Herrington. Her great children Bradley West and Invyi Shaw, Jesiah Vaden, Cadence Earle, Collison Ervin, Aaron Wetmore, Cody Wetmore, Amber Dickson, Amanda Faulk, Ashley Irwin, Brandon Kelley, Tyson Kelley, Ryan and Kayla Renee Herrington, Lauren Venezio, Joshua Barabasz, Mikayla Barabasz, and Allie Marie Barabasz. Her great grand children Nova West, Emerson Wetmore, Emmet Wetmore, Ethan Dickson, Colton Dickson, Scarlett Faulk, Brailey Irwin, Bryson Irwin, Zaden Irwin, Grace Kelley, Hunter Herrington and Henry Harrington. All of these she loved and touched deeply. Service is still pending. In lieu of flowers, do something nice for yourself, Nanny would have wanted that. Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. Proverbs 31:31
