Nicholas Arcomano, 96, died on Saturday, August 16, 2025 in New York City, his home for the past 70 years.
He was born on November 6, 1928, in Brooklyn, New York, son of Rocco and Mollie (Peris) Arcomano. At the age of two, his family moved to Gloversville, New York.
He was a graduate of Fordham University and Albany Law School and had a distinguished career as a copyright attorney in the entertainment industry.
On October 7, 1961, he married the love of his life, Cathryn Buckley Arcomano, an international artist, at the Lady of St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City.
He was a vociferous reader who enjoyed travel (especially to Venice, Italy), art, listening to classical music and following tennis. He had a stellar memory and a genuine curiosity and care about people and the world around him.
Nicholas was predeceased by his parents, beloved wife, Cathryn, his sister, Marion Texier, and his niece, Danielle Texier. He is survived by three nephews in Maryland, Matthew Texier (Tina), Shawn Texier, and Erik Texier (Joyce), great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and dear friends in the U.S. and abroad who will dearly miss his sharp intellect and wit, genuine kindness, innate generosity and overall goodness.
He will be celebrated and honored at a Mass of Christian Burial at The Church of the Holy Spirit in Gloversville on Monday, August 25th at 10:00am with the Fr. Juanito Asprec as celebrant and will be laid to rest in his family plot in the Mount Carmel Cemetery in Johnstown, NY. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 9:00am to 10:00am one hour prior to the mass at the church. In the Fall, he will be remembered at a Memorial mass in New York City.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Homes, 51 Fremont Street, Gloversville, New York.
