Neva E. Adams was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan in 1933, to Roy and Ethel Anderson.

After graduation from Iron Mountain High School, she attended Northwestern Memorial School of Nursing in Chicago, Illinois.  She moved to Greeley, Colorado in 1955 and was a staff nurse at Weld County General Hospital, now Banner Health.  She also did office nursing in Eaton and Greeley.

Neva married John E. Adams in January 1956, and they had two daughters, Jill and Jo Anna.

The family moved to Vail, Colorado in 1963 where John was on the original ski patrol. They returned to Greeley in 1965 where they built a new home northeast of Greeley.

Neva was active in the Pleasant Valley Extension Homemakers Club and was a church volunteer and member of First United Methodist Church, Greeley.

Neva enjoyed music and played the organ in her home.  She loved and collected lighthouses. She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and jigsaw puzzles, but most of all she liked being with family, friends and having a cat curled up on her lap.

Neva is survived by daughter Jill Johnson and husband, Mark, who was like a son to her; daughter, Jo Anna Adams; grandson, Eric Johnson (Valerie), great-grandchildren Eliot and Lillian Johnson, Aurora; granddaughter, Amy Johnson (fiancé, Ian Wallace), New York City; brother, Dale Anderson, Henderson, Nevada; and longtime dear friends and fellow registered nurses, Vera Schum, Centennial, and Arlene Otto, Greeley.  She was preceded in death by her Husband John, in 2019 and her dear nursing friend, Jean Nichols.

Neva's Life Celebration will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, November 21, 2024 at Adamson. Inurnment in the Adamson Columbarium and a reception to follow.  Memorial gifts can be made to "The Wild Animal Sanctuary", Keenesburg, CO or "St. Jude Children's Research Hospital" in care of Adamson, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, CO 80634.  Condolences may be shared at AdamsonCares.com .
