Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted. Matthew 5:4
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that our mother, Nadine Linda Lehti, passed away, surrounded by loved ones, on November 9, 2024, after a heartbreaking battle with Alzheimer's.
Nadine was born in California to Alvin and Lorraine Lorenz on September 6, 1960. She grew up in Anaconda, Montana where she met her first love, Bill Moses. They married and moved to Wyoming and had three children together. After their divorce, Nadine met Terry Lehti and moved the family to Idaho where we have many fond memories of going on family vacations, camping trips, and fishing. She loved to cook homemade meals, crocheting, and crafts. Her favorite TV show was Cops. She was a social butterfly and made friends wherever she went.
Nadine was mostly a stay-at-home mom, but did work some jobs here and there. She worked at the Idaho Youth Ranch in Payette and even managed the store in Emmett. For a short time she worked with adults with disabilities. She also bartended off and on. Her favorite job was working at Home Depot. She loved working in the paint and garden areas.
Though Nadine faced many challenges in her life, including the end of her marriage to Terry, and her battle with Alzheimer’s, she remained a strong presence in the lives of her children and grandchildren. She taught us all the value of perseverance, and that family is a source of strength no matter the circumstances. Despite the complexities of life, her ability to offer love and support was unwavering.
Nadine is survived by her children, Belinda (Shaun) Grover, Neil (Torina) Moses, and Robyn (Cord) Dougherty, her grandchildren Curtis, Ryan, Zachary, Tyler, Alyssa, Rylee, Kienii, Blake, and Sabastian, her siblings Evelyn and Jeff. She was preceded in death by her parents Alvin and Lorraine, her first love Bill, and her brother Ed.
A memorial service will be held on November 21, 2024, at 2:00pm at the Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel in Payette. Graveside services to follow at Park View Cemetery in New Plymouth.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional caregivers and medical staff at Sunset Villa and Ancora Hospice who provided such loving and dedicated care to our mom in her final moments. Your kindness, compassion, and commitment made a world of difference to her, and to us. You will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
Though Alzheimer’s took much from her, it could never take away the love and joy she brought into our lives. She will forever live in our hearts, and we will carry her memory with us always. Rest in peace, Mom. You are deeply loved and missed.
