Mildred Ann Stevens, 76, of Greeley Colorado passed away peacefully in Johnstown Colorado.
Mildred was born in Ashville, NC to Jerry W. and Dorothy H. (Ray) Smith on September 29, 1948. On May 26, 1967 she married Larry L. Spencer. On September 4, 1997 she married the love of her life, Larry H Stevens in Greeley. Mrs. Stevens worked as a prep cook at JB's drive in for over 40 years, until she retired. She enjoyed working, visiting with neighbors and friends, shopping, celebrating birthdays and Christmas, and spoiling her grandchildren.
Mildred did not smoke or drink but battled COPD and a genetic form of lung cancer, which eventually took her life. She died on December 10, 2024, in Johnstown, Colorado.
Mildred is survived by her daughters, Natlie Yeargain of Greeley, Crystal Colemere and husband Dave of Windsor; son, Steven Spencer and wife Jessica of Greeley; step-daughter, Kathy Happel and husband Les of Greeley; step-sons, Dennis Stevens and wife Faye of Alabama, Terry Stevens and wife Shannon of Greeley, Jason Stevens and wife Brenda of Greeley; sister, Minnie Smith of Cedar Mountain, NC; 16 grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Mildred is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Larry Stevens; sister, Kate Glick; brothers, Charles Smith, Jerry W (Billy) Smith Jr; daughter, Elizabeth (Liz) Ball; son, Larry Spencer Jr.; stepson, Jimmy Stevens; step-grandchildren, Patrick Stevens, Kris Roof.
Visitation is on Monday December 16, 2024, from 10am-11am with Celebration of Life from 11am-12 pm followed by reception at Adamson's funeral home 2000 47th Avenue Greeley, Co
Immediately following reception, Mildred will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Sunset Memorial Gardens 3400 W, 28th St Greeley, Co
