Mary Lou Schirner passed away October 9th, 2025 in her home with family. Mary Lou Kiefer born to Joseph J. and Lillian E. (Leick) Kiefer on May 28th, 1942 in Aurora, IL. 

Raised in Aurora attending East Aurora High School, Mary Lou was a hard worker and employed at manufacturing jobs. She married Wilfred W. Hogle in 1962 and they made their home in the Aurora/Montgomery area raising their 3 children together until his passing in 1984. She married Dennis A. Schirner in 1988 and settled in Lakewood Colorado where they made a home they loved for over 30 years. Always a homebody, Mary Lou was known for her love of watching movies, caring for animals, and working in her yard where they had a wonderful view of the Rocky Mountains. She especially enjoyed feeding the geese in the back pond and the squirrels on her back porch. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family especially during the holidays. Christmas was Mary Lou's favorite time of the year.
