IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Margaret
Mendoza
June 23, 1942 – November 26, 2024
Margaret Mendoza, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted follower of Christ, passed into the arms of Jesus on November 26, 2024, at the age of 82. Born on June 23, 1942, to Francisco and Maria Guerrero in Greeley, Colorado, Margaret grew up surrounded by the love of her large family. On April 20, 1963, Margaret married Phillip Mendoza, the love of her life, beginning a beautiful union that would span over 60 years. Throughout her life, Margaret was hardworking and dedicated, taking on various jobs in different industries. For many years, she devoted herself to serving others as part of the environmental services team at Northern Colorado Medical Center until her retirement. Margaret was known for her boundless love and dedication to her family. As a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Her children and grandchildren were her greatest joy and the reason she radiated the kind of love that touched everyone she met. A woman of many interests, Margaret loved gardening, cooking, reading, and watching telenovelas. However, nothing brought her more joy than cheering on her beloved Denver Broncos. She was their biggest fan, never missing a game and celebrating every victory with the passion and spirit that only a true fan possesses. Her greatest devotion, however, was to her faith. A lifelong Catholic, Margaret never missed Mass unless of illness and held steadfast to the traditions of her religion. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her actions and infusing her with a spirit of kindness, generosity, and compassion. Margaret is survived by her loving husband, Phillip Mendoza, and her children Phillip (Laura) Mendoza, Anthony (Sonya) Mendoza, Sonya Mendoza-Weiss, Sharon (Kyle) Weimer, Bryan (Kit) Mendoza, Nicole Mendoza, and Natalie Mendoza. She also leaves behind twenty-two cherished grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, who will carry on her legacy of love and devotion. Margaret is also survived by her brother, Pete (Ruby) Guerrero, and sister, Teresa (Jess) Hernandez, Bernice Bernal, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Francisco and Maria Guerrero, and brothers George (Connie) Guerrero, Joseph (Juanita) Guerrero, Tony (Virginia) Guerrero, John (Inez) Guerrero, Gilbert (Diana) Guerrero, and sister Lupe (Domingo) Torres.
